STEP 1: Downloading The Installation Program

To download the Pro Contractor Studio™ setup program, click on a file name below with the mouse. Select Save Target As... or Save this program to disk in the resulting dialog box and click on the Save or OK button. Place the file in the appropriate directory on your hard drive. For example; you may want to place the file in your My Documents folder such as c:\My Documents.

Pro Contractor Studio™ requires Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5 to be installed on the computer. You can determine if Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5 is installed on your computer by reviewing the list of programs in the Windows Control Panel under either Add or Remove Programs (XP) or Uninstall a Program (7 or Vista).

If Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5 is not installed on your computer, download and install the software from the Microsoft website by clicking on the link below.

STEP 2: Installing The Program

Once the installation file is on your hard drive you will need to run it or execute it to install the software. To run the installation program, follow the directions below for your version of Microsoft® Windows. WINDOWS XP USERS: Click on the Start button and then click on Run. Click on the Browse button and change to the c:\My Documents folder or the location where you saved the installation program. Click on the file name one time and then click on the Open button. Next, click on the OK button to begin the installation. Please make sure that you do not have any other applications running during the installation including Microsoft® Outlook or any anti-virus software. WINDOWS 7 OR VISTA USERS: The installation program will need to be run with administrator privileges. Locate the file on your hard drive using Windows Explorer or My Computer. Place the mouse cursor on top of the file name and press the right mouse button. Choose Run as administrator from the resulting pop-up menu to begin the installation.

STEP 3: Purchase a Subscription or Trial Mode

Once the installation is complete, start the Pro Contractor Studio software by double clicking on the desktop icon or by selecting Pro Contactor Studio from the Windows Start button under All Programs. When the software opens the PCS Subscription box will appear. CREATE AN ACCOUNT AND SUBSCRIBE: To create a new account, click on the Login to Your PCS Account button. On the resulting web page, new users will create a new User ID and Password and click on the Create New Account button. Follow the instructions to enter your account information, register your computer and purchase a subscription key. TRIAL MODE: To run in a trial mode, click on the Close button to exit the PCS Subscription box. The software will run in a trial mode indefinitely, but it will not print or save drawings. Click on either File > Startup Screen or File > New to begin a drawing.
